Job Title : SAP CO Consultant

Experience Required : 8-15 Years

Job Location : Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore

Employment Type : Full-Time

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced SAP CO (Controlling) Consultant to join our team. The consultant will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of the SAP CO module, including implementation, support, enhancements, and training team members. The role involves strong expertise in Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), and cross-module integrations with SAP FI and other modules.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the SAP CO module, driving business process improvements and providing solutions for CO-related issues.
  • Take complete ownership of Product Costing (CO-PC) and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) areas.
  • Lead workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and propose best-fit SAP solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed SLAs and delivery timelines, maintaining high-quality standards in deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FI, MM, PP, SD, etc.) to manage cross-module integration scenarios.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to junior consultants and team members on SAP CO functionalities.
  • Manage configuration, testing, and documentation of CO processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Support ABAP developments and enhancements, including writing functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
  • Work on month-end and year-end closing activities within CO.
  • Handle profit center accounting (CO-PCA) and overhead cost controlling (CO-OM-CCA) activities.
  • Provide functional support during system upgrades, patch applications, and SAP S / 4HANA migration projects.
  • Interact effectively with stakeholders across different geographies, cultures, and time zones.
  • Drive continuous improvements in CO processes and contribute to building best practices frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Strong hands-on experience in SAP Controlling (CO) module with focus on :

  • Product Costing (CO-PC)
  • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
  • Profit Center Accounting (CO-PCA)
  • Overhead Cost Controlling (CO-OM-CCA)
  • Strong knowledge of cross-module integration with FI, MM, PP, and SD.
  • Experience in ABAP development support (debugging, writing functional specifications, and working with technical teams).
  • Exposure to full-cycle SAP CO implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and support.
  • Hands-on experience in handling month-end / year-end activities in CO.
  • Good knowledge of standard SAP reporting and tools for CO.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to design and deliver complex solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
  • Qualification : Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance, Accounting, or related fields. ICWA / CMA certification is preferred.

    Good to Have :

  • Experience in SAP S / 4HANA Finance / Controlling.
  • Exposure to Cost Center Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting.
  • Understanding of management reporting and analytics.
  • Ability to work in onsite-offshore model.
