About the Role

We are seeking a talented AI Engineers to join our growing AI practice at Delaware. As an AI Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions for enterprise clients for both internal and external use cases including across manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and other industries. You'll work with our Lead AI Architect and cross-functional teams to build production-ready AI systems that transform business operations using Azure's AI ecosystem.

You will develop intelligent solutions including:

• Conversational AI & Copilots: Custom chatbots, virtual agents, and AI assistants using Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry and Copilot Studio
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Systems: Knowledge-based Q&A systems, document intelligence, and semantic search applications
• Multi-Agent Systems: Complex agentic workflows using Lang Chain, Lang Graph, and Azure AI services
• Predictive Analytics & ML Models: Machine learning solutions for forecasting, anomaly detection, and business intelligence
• AI-Powered Applications: Embedding intelligence into enterprise applications, integrating with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and other systems

Core Responsibilities

AI Solution Development (70%)

• Design and develop generative AI applications using Azure OpenAI Service, including GPT-4, embeddings, and multimodal models
• Build RAG pipelines with vector databases (Azure AI Search) for enterprise knowledge management
• Implement AI solutions using Azure Copilot Studio and custom frameworks
• Develop and deploy machine learning models for classification, regression & NLP
• Create multi-agent systems using Lang Chain, Lang Graph, MS agent framework, and agent orchestration frameworks

Technical Architecture & Integration (20%)

• Architect scalable AI solutions on Azure cloud platform (Azure ML, Azure AI services, Azure Functions, Container Apps)
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, and custom APIs
• Implement MLOps practices: model versioning, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automated retraining
• Design data pipelines for AI workflows including ETL, data preprocessing, and feature engineering
• Ensure security, compliance, and responsible AI practices across all implementations

Client Collaboration & Delivery (10%)

• Work directly with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical AI solutions
• Conduct AI feasibility assessments and proof-of-concept development for new use cases
• Present technical solutions and demonstrations to stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance during implementation and post-deployment support
• Document solution architectures, technical specifications, and best practices

Innovation & Continuous Learning

• Stay current with latest AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and Azure service updates
• Contribute to internal AI accelerators, templates, and reusable components
• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and technical workshops
• Experiment with emerging AI technologies and propose innovative solutions
• Contribute to Delaware’s AI governance framework and best practices

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related technical field
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development with production deployments
• Proven track record of building and deploying AI solutions in enterprise environments
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.

Technical Skills - AI/ML Fundamentals

• Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms: supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, NLP
• Expertise in Python for AI/ML development with libraries: TensorFlow, Py-Torch, scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy
• Proficiency in prompt engineering, few-shot learning, RAG architectures, vector embeddings, semantic search, and knowledge graphs

Technical Skills - Development & Engineering

• Strong programming skills in Python (primary) and/or C#
• Proficiency with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps)

Technical Skills - Data & Infrastructure

• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
• Understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and ETL pipelines
• Knowledge of Azure data services: Azure Data Factory or Databricks

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Technical Skills

• Experience building multi-agent systems with complex reasoning and tool use
• Understanding of MLOps tools: ML-flow, Azure ML pipelines, model monitoring solutions
