Position Name- Manager- Hydraulic Design

Job Specifications

Experience : 8 to 10 Years

Qualification : B.E. Civil / M. Tech (Water Resources / Irrigation / Environment)

Skills and Knowledge :

  • Knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and software used for same (Water GEMS). Must have experience as design engineer for water supply pipeline project or Irrigation projects.
  • Knowledge of Water Supply Scheme & Irrigation PDN projects structures i.e. Intake Well, Jack Well, Sump Cum Pump House, WTP, MBRs, ESRs, GSRs, Thrust blocks and Anchor blocks, etc.
  • Knowledge of different types of Pipes, Valves, Pumps, design manuals and relevant IS codes.
  • Knowledge of Water GEMS, AutoCAD, ArcGIS and E survey Software is MUST.

Job Description

  • Determinations of water requirement calculations of Water Supply Schemes & Irrigation pipe distribution network projects.
  • Preparation of Zone / Water User Association Block, chak planning of Project.
  • Preparation of Pipeline Layout planning of Water Supply Scheme & Pressurized / Gravity pipe distribution network Irrigation Project.
  • Preparation of Hydraulic design of Water Supply Scheme & Pressurized / Gravity pipe distribution network Irrigation Project on Water GEMS software.
  • Preparation of L-Sections of pipeline design on AutoCAD and E survey Software.
  • Carry out investigations, surveys, design, engineering calculations and preparation of working drawings and estimates for water supply schemes & Pressurized / Gravity pipe distribution network Irrigation Project.
  • To work out item wise bill of quantity of Project.
  • To work out quantity estimation and bar bending schedule from drawings.
  • Design approvals from government department and vetting institutes.
  • Travelling on site / Government department for convincing, scrutiny & approval.
  • Report writing and presentation skills is necessary.
