We are seeking a talented individual to join our Operations team at Marsh . This role will be based in Pune . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Specialist – Placement
An opportunity to understand end to end lifecycle for UK Insurance Broking. Experience and explore change initiatives as teams are undergoing migration. Within the first 30 days, we would expect you to gain in-depth knowledge of the service / task you would handle & understand the role requirements. Within 60 days, attain competency & establish good relationship with all colleagues & finally within 90 days, be able to independently manage the process / activity and be a Subject Matter Expert in the trained arena. We have robust training around understanding insurance concepts and business knowledge
We will count on you to :
- Work with Placement colleague to prepare documentation and submissions for market, including specifications, loss records and summary reports to better serve clients.
- Assist with analyzing and collecting quotes for Placement colleague, comparing quotes for markets, reviewing existing client insurance and risk programs and preparing proposal components to better serve clients.
- Process necessary documentation and follows up on outstanding documentation with the appropriate party to ensure the smooth continuation of the Placement process.
- Request and oversee follow-up for changes from underwriters and reviews coverage specifications to be submitted to carriers / underwriters to ensure they are accurate.
- Maintain a more detailed technical understanding of the Placement business to better assist the Placement colleague.

Develop self to have a good understanding of the processUndertake processing tasks within the various operational framework basis the training providedProduce accurate client documentation associated with the respective processesDelivery on performance as per company standards and continuous rigor on improving business performanceReview operational and quality failures, conduct root cause analysis & monitor plan to ensure successUse and optimise technology to eradicate routine manual work where possibleEngage with all relevant stakeholders as and when required to meet client requirementRisk & Compliance :
Ensure adherence to Compliance and operate within the guidelines of internal and external regulatorsHave working knowledge of the core product principles and regulations that govern the productsEnsure that all statutory and company regulations are followed while processing work to protect clients, colleagues and the business interests of the companyWhat you need to have :
Graduate with 3-6 years of experience in the insurance broking domainProcess knowledge of broking business and insurance terminologiesAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasks during peak volume periodsCollaborative mindset across levels and teamsGood command on MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word)Decision making and Problem solving skillsHigh attention to detailGood relationship skills, Proven ability to work on functional initiativesWhat makes you stand out?
