We are looking for a skilled Lead Java Developer to enhance our team.

The ideal candidate will spearhead the development and deployment of Java applications utilizing SQL, Spring, and Hibernate frameworks. This role involves collaborating with various teams to conceptualize, develop, and sustain efficient, reusable, and trustworthy code that aligns with client needs and project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead Java application design and development with SQL, Spring, and Hibernate
  • Work with various teams to conceptualize, design, and implement new features
  • Develop clean, scalable, and efficient code
  • Identify and resolve coding issues to enhance performance and scalability
  • Provide mentorship to junior developers on coding standards and design patterns
  • Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards and guidelines
  • Engage in requirement gathering and analysis
  • Create and execute unit tests to ensure code reliability
  • Integrate software components and third-party programs
  • Uphold code quality, organization, and automation
  • Enhance applications for optimal speed and scalability
  • Investigate alternatives and technologies to support continuous improvement
  • Document development processes and monitor systems
  • Ensure adherence to security and data protection regulations
  • Oversee project timelines and deliverables

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise as a Lead Java Developer with over 5 years of experience
  • Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role
  • Proficient in Java programming and object-oriented design principles
  • Knowledge in Java frameworks like DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate
  • Strong grasp of SQL and experience with distributed storage systems such as DB2, Oracle
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks like Angular or React
  • Understanding of code versioning tools, including Git
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Efficient in task prioritization and time management

    • Nice to have

  • Experience with MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, and other RDBMS Tools
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines
  • Experience in Unix / Linux environments
