Engineering Lead (B2B Tech Startup)

A  fast-growing B2B SaaS start-up  is looking to hire a  Head of Engineering  — a strategic technology leader who can shape the engineering vision, scale teams, and drive innovation aligned with business growth.

This role is central to ensuring the  successful execution of the product roadmap , while upholding the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security. The ideal leader will bring a balance of  strategic thinking and operational excellence , fostering collaboration across functions and enabling sustainable scale.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the  engineering strategy  in alignment with business and product goals.

Lead Engineering, QA, SRE, DevOps, and Information Security teams, driving synergy and performance across all functions.

Oversee  end-to-end delivery , balancing speed, quality, and innovation.

Strengthen engineering governance, operational discipline, and process maturity to support scale.

Partner with Product, Design, and Business teams to deliver customer-centric, scalable solutions.

Embed a strong culture of  security, reliability, and accountability  across development practices.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence while nurturing and developing high-performing team.

To fit the bill, you must have :

Engineering + MBA degree with  12+ years of leadership experience  in technology or product-led organizations.

Prior experience in a B2B SaaS start-up environment is essential , with a proven ability to build and scale engineering teams in a high-growth setting.

Proven success in  building and scaling high-performing engineering teams  in a growth environment.

Strong ability to align technology initiatives with business priorities and outcomes.

Experience driving collaboration across functions such as Product, UX, and Security.

Demonstrated leadership in navigating complexity, fostering innovation, and delivering impact.
