Job Title : Network Administrator

Key Responsibilities

1. Microsoft Server Administration

  • Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policies, and DNS configurations across multiple domains.
  • Plan and execute Microsoft Server migrations, particularly from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2025.
  • Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, and organizational units (OUs).
  • Ensure server security, backup integrity, and compliance with client requirements.
  • Handle troubleshooting of server performance, connectivity, and authentication issues.

2. Network Infrastructure & Security

  • Configure, monitor, and maintain LAN / WAN infrastructure, including Cisco, Fortinet, and Meraki devices.
  • Manage firewalls (Meraki, ASA, Firepower) including VPN setup, access rules, and policy configurations.
  • Support VLAN configuration, load balancing, and network segmentation for multi-location clients.
  • Perform network scanning, diagnostics, and proactive troubleshooting to maintain uptime and security.
  • Document network topologies, configurations, and changes accurately.
  • 3. Cloud & Data Management

  • Support hybrid setups involving Azure AD, Datto backup solutions, SharePoint, and cloud storage integrations.
  • Manage SQL Server allocations and ensure proper data access and network routing.
  • Implement backup and recovery strategies using Datto and cloud-based systems.
  • 4. Client & Operational Support

  • Provide Tier 2 / 3 technical support for client desktops, servers, and network environments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for escalation or advanced troubleshooting.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with clients, explaining technical issues in simple terms.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring tasks.
  • Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in network or systems administration, preferably in a managed service provider (MSP) or multi-client environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Server environments (2008–2025).
  • Experience with Meraki firewalls, Cisco ASA / Firepower, and managed switches (Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere or similar virtualization tools.
  • Knowledge of Azure AD, Datto, and SharePoint administration preferred.
  • Ability to document network topologies and maintain accurate technical records.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified : Windows Server Administrator, CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are an asset.
