The Head of AHU Production is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing all phases of Air Handling Unit manufacturing. This role ensures the production facility operates at peak efficiency , delivers products of the highest quality (meeting standards like ISO 14644, ASHRAE, and SMACNA, which are critical for Syntec's cleanroom focus), and ensures on-time delivery to support the company's turnkey solutions for the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and Food industries.
🌟 Key Responsibilities1. Production & Operations Management
- Strategic Planning : Develop and execute production strategies, plans, and schedules to meet or exceed monthly and annual targets for volume, cost, and quality.
- Workflow Optimization : Oversee the end-to-end AHU manufacturing process, from raw material inspection and sheet metal fabrication to coil assembly, final unit assembly, wiring, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Resource Management : Efficiently manage all production resources, including manpower, machinery (e.g., CNC bending, laser cutters), materials, and infrastructure, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing downtime.
- Inventory Coordination : Collaborate closely with the Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure the timely availability of components (like filters, motors, fans, coils, and controllers) to maintain a smooth production flow.
2. Quality & Compliance (Crucial for Syntec)
Quality Assurance : Establish, monitor, and strictly enforce quality control standards throughout the entire manufacturing cycle, ensuring all AHUs conform to design specifications, customer requirements (URS), and international standards (e.g., ISO, GMP guidelines).Testing & Validation : Oversee comprehensive in-house testing and validation protocols, including performance testing (e.g., airflow, pressure, sound), unit inspection, and documentation for client approval.Safety & Regulatory : Ensure the production facility adheres to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies, fostering a strong safety culture.3. Continuous Improvement & Cost Control
Process Improvement : Lead and implement continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S) to eliminate waste, reduce manufacturing cycle time, and enhance overall productivity.Budget Management : Manage the production budget, monitor and control manufacturing costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Technology Integration : Recommend and implement new machinery, tools, or technologies to modernize processes and increase production capacity and precision.
