Job description

We’re an SEO agency looking for a part-time content writer who understands both traditional SEO and GEO optimization. This is a remote role open to candidates anywhere in the world.

What you’ll do

  • Write high-quality blog posts, landing pages, and location pages that follow briefs from our SEO Lead.
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices : keywords, intent matching, internal links, headings, meta titles and descriptions.
  • Create GEO-optimized content : city and neighborhood pages, service-area clusters, localized FAQs, and map-embedded copy aligned to NAP and intent.
  • Use AI tools as a starting point only, then human-edit for clarity, accuracy, and originality.
  • Fact-check, cite credible sources, and pass all content through plagiarism and AI-detection checks.
  • Follow brand voice and style guides, and collaborate in Google Docs or Notion with tracked edits.

Must-have skills

  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on SEO writing experience, including keyword driven outlines and SERP analysis.
  • Proven work with GEO content (location pages, local intent, interlinking for service areas).
  • Strong editing skills to remove AI “gloss,” add human insight, and improve flow and structure.
  • Comfort with briefs, content calendars, and revision cycles.
  • Tools familiarity : Google Docs, Grammarly, Surfer / Frase / ClearScope or similar, Screaming Frog basics, Search Console basics.

    • Nice to have

  • Experience writing for multi-location businesses.
  • Basic schema knowledge for FAQs and LocalBusiness.
  • Ability to suggest internal link opportunities and anchor variations.
  • Light image prompts or briefs for designers when needed.
