Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead the end-to-end marketing function for our organization in the defense sector. The ideal candidate will develop and execute both digital and offline marketing strategies, including PR, events, media relations, and brand communication. The role demands strong experience in B2B marketing along with exposure to defense or automation industries. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for increasing brand visibility, strengthening positioning, building PR networks, and driving customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing & Communication Strategy
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to strengthen brand positioning in the defense / automation market.
Ensure consistent messaging across digital, print, media, events, and PR platforms.
Craft communication strategies highlighting the company’s strengths, capabilities, and value propositions.
2. Brand Development & Positioning
Lead the development of brand identity and competitive positioning within the defense sector.
Create and maintain brand frameworks and guidelines across all marketing touchpoints.
Position the brand as a trusted industry leader for B2B and enterprise clients.
3. Integrated Marketing Campaigns
Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns spanning digital and traditional channels.
Oversee campaigns for lead generation, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
Drive end-to-end GTM strategies and execute product / service launches.
4. Digital Marketing
Manage digital presence, including website, social media, email marketing, and ORM.
Drive online lead generation using SEO, SEM, PPC, and marketing automation tools.
Optimize digital processes through tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, and automation workflows.
5. PR, Media & Offline Marketing
Build and maintain PR relationships with media houses, defense industry publications, and event partners.
Organize and manage corporate events, exhibitions, trade shows, product demos, and conferences.
Oversee media planning, buying, advertising campaigns, and creative content production.
6. Market Research & Insights
Conduct ongoing market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and sector-specific research.
Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve ROI.
Monitor industry trends in defense, automation, and related technologies.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Leadership
Work closely with sales, operations, and leadership teams to achieve marketing objectives.
Mentor and manage the marketing team to ensure high performance and seamless execution.
Oversee vendor and agency partnerships for content creation, digital campaigns, and PR.
8. Budget Management & ROI
Manage the annual marketing budget and allocate resources effectively.
Track campaign performance, analyze ROI, and optimize future strategies.
Ensure all initiatives follow compliance standards relevant to the defense sector.
Qualifications
MBA from a Tier-1 institute (Mandatory).
Minimum 8–12+ years of marketing experience (senior level), preferably in defense, automation, engineering, or B2B industries.
Proven expertise in both digital marketing and offline marketing (PR, events, media, branding).
Strong understanding of integrated marketing communication, brand strategy, and performance-driven campaigns.
Proficiency in marketing tools (HubSpot, Salesforce), SEO / SEM, Google Analytics, ORM.
Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience in handling marketing for defense, automation, manufacturing, aerospace, or similar industrial sectors.
Prior experience managing PR networks and government / industry stakeholders is an added advantage.
