Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, design review, and execution of electrical systems in thermal power projects ensuring alignment with project timelines, cost targets, and quality standards.
- Electrical System Design and Engineering: Oversee the detailed engineering of power distribution, control systems, switchgear, transformers, motors, and auxiliary electrical equipment in compliance with national and international standards.
- Commissioning and Testing: Manage electrical commissioning activities including system checks, troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and validation to ensure seamless plant startup and reliable operations.
- Maintenance Strategy & Reliability: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime, reduce breakdowns, and extend asset life.
- Compliance and Safety Management: Ensure all electrical installations and operations comply with statutory regulations, safety codes, and environmental policies as per Adani's safety culture and industry best practices.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage vendors and contractors for electrical supplies and services, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and quality assurance.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and control electrical project budgets, monitor expenditures, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing electrical engineering team fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
- Innovation and Technology Integration: Drive adoption of new technologies and digital tools to enhance operational efficiency, predictive maintenance capabilities, and reduce carbon footprint.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare technical reports, project documentation, compliance records, and present progress updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with internal teams including mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and project management to ensure integrated project delivery aligned with Adani's values.
- Risk Management: Identify potential electrical risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure implementation of corrective actions proactively to safeguard plant and personnel.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of operational excellence by implementing lessons learned, benchmarking best practices, and driving quality initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university/institute.
13-19 years in electrical engineering roles within Thermal Projects or Power Generation industry.
