Work Place– Ogijo ,Lagos
The CEO will lead the overall operations, strategy, and growth of the Paper business, ensuring profitability, operational excellence, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is a techno-commercial leader with strong technical knowledge of paper manufacturing and proven commercial acumen. The CEO will drive business development, operational efficiency, cost reduction, safety upliftment ,and all across team performance while aligning with the group’s vision and reporting directly to the Group CEO.
Key Responsibilities are outlined below
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals.
- Identify and pursue new markets / Customers, Margin upliftment
- Align factory operations with the group’s overall vision and objectives.
- Managing relationship with all authorities, stakeholders and ensure compliances
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
Operational Management
Oversee daily operations, ensuring budgeted production, quality in safe environment.Implement best manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure efficient utilization of resources and cost Reduction and optimization.Optimize Consumables usage in line with industry practiceTechno-Commercial Management
Apply technical expertise to optimize production processes and product quality.Lead techno-commercial negotiations with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.Apply technical knowledge to reduce cost of operationsFinancial Oversight
Drive profitability and growth while maintaining cost efficiencyMonitor key financial metrics and take corrective actionsTeam Leadership & Development
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing management team.Uplift Ratio of National / expatriatesFoster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments.Reporting
Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to the Group CEO and Board.Prepare and present performance reports, business plans, and investment proposals.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, or related field);MBA or equivalent preferred.
15+ years of experience in paper or heavy industry, 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven ability to manage both technical and commercial functions.Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence and business growth.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Deep understanding of the Nigerian and / or West African market is an advantage.Key Skills
