Job description

We are seeking an experienced Node developer with 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience in programming and development using the MERN stack. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in JavaScript and have extensive knowledge in Node.js and relevant stacks. This role requires a deep understanding of troubleshooting, error handling, and delivering scalable and efficient web applications. You will also be working with RESTful APIs and API communication, while ensuring secure coding practices.

An ideal candidate will also have a deep understanding of AWS and would have worked on Microservices architecture using Lambdas, NoSQL Databases like DynamoDB, and S3 Candidates with experience and understanding of the IAM domain and exposure to AWS Cognito will be given a preference.

Requirements :

  • 8 to 12+ years of programming experience.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and related frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of Node.js and frameworks such as Express.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues in complex applications.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and API communication.
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming in JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and their tools.
  • Experience writing secure, production-grade code.
  • Experience in implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms is a plus.
  • Previous experience in using Firebase will also be preferred.

Preferred Qualification :

  • Familiarity with cloud-based solutions or containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Working knowledge of modern web security principles and practices.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure web applications using Node.js and related technologies
  • Build and manage RESTful APIs and ensure seamless communication across services
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance in production environments
  • Work with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and DynamoDB for data modeling and management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, DevOps, and product managers
  • Develop and maintain serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and other AWS services
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, preferably using AWS Cognito
  • Ensure secure coding practices, compliance with best practices, and mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions
  • Document application architecture, processes, and updates
