IIT Tirupati Navavishkar I-Hub Foundation (IITTNiF) is a not-for-profit Section-8 company established to host the Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) in Positioning and Precision Technologies (PPT). Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a GIS Engineer, based in Dehradun. The GIS Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as designing, developing, and maintaining GIS-based systems, analyzing geospatial data, and creating maps and visual models. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring data accuracy, and implementing advanced GIS techniques to support various technological and research projects. Additionally, the candidate will assist in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and enhancing GIS integration within projects.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in GIS tools and technologies, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms
• Strong skills in spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and geospatial data visualization
• Knowledge of programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or related technologies for GIS development
• Experience with satellite imagery, remote sensing, and data integration
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment and collaborate efficiently within teams
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Geoinformatics, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field
• Prior experience in GIS-based research, application development, or project management is an advantage
