Key Responsibilities :
- FPGA Prototyping : Design, develop, and verify FPGA-based prototypes for system-level validation and hardware verification of new products.
- RTL Design & Implementation : Write high-quality RTL code (Verilog / VHDL), ensuring efficient and reliable FPGA designs for various applications.
- Test & Debug : Develop and run testbenches, conduct simulations, and perform debugging for FPGA prototypes. Ensure high-quality design with minimal errors.
- System Integration : Work closely with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, systems engineers) to integrate FPGA designs into larger system architectures.
- Optimization : Apply optimization techniques to enhance FPGA performance, including resource utilization, timing, and power efficiency.
- Documentation & Reporting : Prepare detailed documentation for FPGA design, testing procedures, and results. Ensure traceability and adherence to standards.
- Collaboration : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate with external teams to deliver top-notch solutions.
Required Skills & Experience :
3 to 10+ years of experience in FPGA design, with a focus on FPGA prototyping .Expertise in RTL design (Verilog or VHDL).Strong hands-on experience with FPGA development tools such as Vivado, Quartus, or similar.In-depth knowledge of FPGA-based prototyping techniques and methodologies.Experience in simulation tools (ModelSim, Questa, etc.) and debugging complex designs.Familiarity with hardware interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, and high-speed serial protocols.Strong understanding of digital logic design and hardware / software co-design .Experience with FPGA synthesis and timing analysis.Ability to translate complex specifications into effective hardware implementations.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Solid understanding of system-level integration and verification methodologies .Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
