Description
The Country Manager - Trading / Merchandise will be responsible for overseeing the trading operations in India, driving revenue growth, and managing relationships with key suppliers. This role requires a strategic leader who can develop and implement effective trading strategies in a competitive market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement trading strategies to maximize revenue and market share in India.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the trading and merchandise team.
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and partners.
- Analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and inventory to ensure optimal performance.
- Lead negotiations for contracts and pricing with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics and KPIs.
Skills and Qualifications
15-25 years of experience in trading or merchandise management.Strong understanding of the Indian market and consumer behavior.Proven track record in sales and revenue growth.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Experience in team leadership and project management.Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.Familiarity with supply chain management and logistics.Skills Required
