Job description

A DevOps Infrastructure Architect designs, implements, and manages the underlying infrastructure and pipelines for DevOps practices to accelerate software delivery, ensure reliability, and maintain security. Key responsibilities include architecting scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure, implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and establishing robust CI / CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) pipelines using tools like Terraform and Kubernetes. The role requires deep knowledge of cloud platforms, automation, and containerization, along with strong leadership to foster collaboration between development and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Design & Automation : Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure, often using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles with tools like Terraform or Ansible.
CI / CD Pipeline Development : Architect, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines for seamless software delivery.
Cloud Management : Manage and optimize cloud resources across platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP to support DevOps workflows.
Containerization : Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes for efficient application deployment.
Monitoring & Alerting : Set up and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack) to ensure system health and performance.
Security & Compliance : Integrate security measures and compliance controls into DevOps processes to protect sensitive data and adhere to regulatory standards.
Collaboration & Mentorship : Guide and mentor development and operations teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Strategic Alignment : Align DevOps strategies and practices with business objectives to improve software delivery speed, quality, and operational efficiency.

Essential Skills & Qualifications :

Cloud Platforms : Proficient with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

CI / CD Tools : Experience with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

IaC & Configuration Management : Expertise in tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Containerization : Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.

Scripting Languages : Proficiency in languages like Python, Bash, or Shell for automation.

Monitoring Tools : Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.

Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills : Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities are crucial.
