Estimation Manager

Position Overview :

Altrview is looking for an experienced Estimation Manager – Civil with a strong background in civil estimation and government project management. The role focuses on accurate cost estimation, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and technical evaluation for a wide range of civil infrastructure works excluding tendering activities .

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the complete estimation and costing process for civil engineering projects, specifically for government infrastructure works.
• Review drawings, specifications, GFC details, scope of work, and project requirements to prepare accurate BOQs and cost sheets.
• Perform detailed rate analysis , material take-offs, quantity surveying, and labor / resource costing.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, procurement, and project execution teams to collect technical and commercial inputs required for estimation.
• Prepare cost comparisons, feasibility assessments, and budgetary proposals for upcoming and ongoing civil projects.
• Analyze historical data, market trends, vendor pricing, and construction technologies to maintain updated cost databases.
• Conduct site visits for technical evaluation, work assessment, and verification of project requirements.
• Support project managers in cost planning, value engineering, and budget optimization.
• Identify cost risks and propose mitigation strategies to support leadership in decision-making.
• Guide and mentor junior estimation engineers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards.
• Maintain proper documentation for estimation processes, drawings, cost sheets, and revisions.
