Job Summary :
Responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic South Indian dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety. Assists senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and ensures consistency in taste and presentation.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes (e.g., dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, rasam, curries, chutneys).
Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation techniques.
Support the Chef de Partie in mise-en-place, cooking, and service.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per HACCP and hotel standards.
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and assist in inventory management.
Work effectively as part of the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Adhere to safety and sanitation policies at all times.
Qualifications
Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts (preferred, not mandatory).
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, specializing in South Indian cuisine.
Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Passion for cooking and eagerness to learn under senior chefs.
