Job Title : Culinary Expert

At the heart of every successful culinary operation lies a talented Line Cook. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and presenting dishes that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare basic food items for menu requested by supervisor, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Possess advanced knife handling skills, demonstrating precision and safety at all times.
  • Work in any kitchen section, adapting to changing priorities and workload demands.
  • Have good food knowledge and culinary terms understanding, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques.
  • Read, understand, follow and prepare company recipes, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effectively complete tasks, work efficiently and productively, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Follow Public Health standards within section, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Maintain assigned area for inspections, upholding high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Report for duty at assigned times, follow supervisor's instructions, and maintain personal appearance, embodying the values of professionalism and respect.

Financial Responsibilities :

  • Contain costs through proper use of records, supplies, and equipment, implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Motivational Responsibilities :

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities, allowing you to focus on your craft and contribute to the team's success.
  • Qualifications and Education :

  • Minimum 4 years experience in upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship with at least 2 years as Line Cook, honing your skills and expertise.
  • Culinary school degree required, demonstrating a solid foundation in culinary arts and techniques.
  • Strong management skills in multicultural environment, showcasing adaptability and leadership potential.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and people skills, enabling effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
  • Superior customer service, teambuilding, and conflict resolution skills, consistently delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of personalized services principles, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs and preferences.
  • Intermediate computer software skills required, proficient in commonly used kitchen software and systems.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles, ensuring accurate record-keeping and financial management.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence, effectively communicating with colleagues and stakeholders.
