Role Description
ClimaCrew is seeking a dynamic and growth-focused Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to architect and execute the company’s commercial strategy across India and international markets. The CCO will drive revenue generation, market expansion, and strategic partnerships across ClimaCrew’s seaweed-based biostimulants, feed ingredients, and hydrocolloid verticals.This role is ideal for professionals who have scaled ₹500–₹1,000+ crore businesses and can bring structure to a fast-growing, innovation-led startup. Applicants must have experience in commercial strategy, B2B partnerships, value-based pricing, and building long-term client relationships across agriculture, biotech, or food ingredient sectors.
Candidates without sectoral familiarity or P&L-scale management experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute a multi-year commercial strategy to achieve revenue and margin goals.
- Lead and mentor sales, marketing, and business development teams.
- Drive structured growth using prior experience scaling large businesses.
- Identify new markets, strategic accounts, and long-term partnerships.
- Align pricing, profitability, and capacity planning with Product, Operations, and Finance.
- Manage key accounts, negotiations, and channel development.
- Set up forecasting, KPIs, and executive dashboards.
- Lead brand positioning and GTM initiatives across India, MENA, and export markets.
- Maintain strong relationships with partners, clients, and institutional stakeholders.
- Develop value-based pricing strategies aligned with ClimaCrew’s innovation-led proposition.
- Thrive in a fast-evolving, startup environment with high ownership.
Expected Commercial Outcomes :
Scale annual revenues from the current baseline to ₹250+ crore over three years through domestic and export sales.Establish 20–25+ strategic B2B partnerships across agri-input, feed, food, and pharma industries, and sustain those long-term partnerships.Achieve double-digit EBITDA margins and sustain quarter-on-quarter growth.Build a commercial organization capable of handling ₹500 - ₹1,000+ crore business volume in the next phase of expansion.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.A total of 10–15+ years of experience, including 5–6 years in senior roles involving substantial P&L accountability and strategic decision-making.Proven ability to bring enterprise-scale discipline to startup agility.Work Experience :
Must have demonstrated ability to maintain and nourish strategic relationshipsMust have demonstrated capacity to develop a value-based pricing model.Must have experience in dealing with small, big, and large accounts.Must have experience in bagging multi-year projects and contracts of significant value.Good to have experience in migrating from non-ERP to ERP-based supply chain accountingGood to have experience in establishing long-term contracts with international clients
