Role Overview : -
We are seeking an accomplished engineering leader with deep expertise in industrial automation, robotics, and electro-mechanical product development . The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex automation projects end-to-end across automotive, chemical, electronics, or energy sectors.
Experience in battery swapping systems, automated machinery, AI-enabled diagnostics, and high-speed motion platforms is highly desirable.
This role will drive automation architecture, robotic systems development, product innovation, homologation, and system integration for next-generation battery swapping stations and intelligent machine systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Automation & Robotics Leadership
Lead the design and development of automation systems, robotic mechanisms, and battery swapping architectures.
Oversee concept development, detailed mechanical design, electrical & controls engineering, and software integration.
Develop cost-efficient, robust automation solutions including gantry systems, hybrid robots, pick-and-place systems, leak-detection systems, ultrasonic automation, and high-precision servo / linear motion systems.
Drive innovation in electro-mechanical systems, automation frameworks, and intelligent diagnostics.
2. Product Development & Homologation
Lead end-to-end development of electro-mechanical and robotic products, including next-gen battery swapping stations.
Ensure compliance with AIS-038 and all relevant regulatory & industry standards.
Lead prototype development, testing, reliability validation, field trials, and design refinement.
Partner with cross-functional teams for product integration, performance engineering, and manufacturing scalability.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
15–25 years of experience in Automation, Robotics, SPM, Machine Design, Mechatronics, or Industrial Machinery .
Strong hands-on experience with :
PLC / SCADA systems : Rockwell, Omron, Siemens
Servo motion systems, drives, linear motors, AGVs / AMRs
Vision systems, sensors, safety circuits, and industrial control components
CAD / CAE Tools : SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, Ansys
Experience in :
Robotic platform development
Automated packing / assembly lines
High-speed industrial machinery
Robotics integration & motion control
Deep understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, control systems, system dynamics, and motion analysis .
Domain Experience (Preferred)
Electric Vehicles (EV), battery swapping, or energy storage systems
Automotive, chemical, electronics, high-precision manufacturing
Experience leading large automation / robotics programs in a product development environment
