Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced UKG Ready Payroll Consultant to join our HRIS / Payroll systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting the UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready) Payroll module to meet client or internal business needs.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure payroll solutions are accurate, compliant, and optimized for performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead or support the implementation of UKG Ready Payroll module for new clients or internal transitions.
- Configure payroll rules, earning / deduction codes, tax settings, and workflows within UKG Ready.
- Conduct needs assessments and gather requirements from stakeholders to ensure payroll processes align with business objectives and compliance standards.
- Perform data mapping, conversions, and validation for accurate payroll data migration.
- Provide training and documentation to payroll staff and administrators on UKG Ready usage and best practices.
- Troubleshoot payroll-related issues and provide solutions in coordination with technical support and product teams.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax reporting, year-end processing, and audit requirements.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and release validation.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and Finance teams to align payroll systems with other modules (e.g. Time & Attendance, HR, Benefits).
Required Qualifications :
5+ years of experience working with UKG Ready Payroll or similar payroll platforms.Proven experience with UKG Ready implementation, configuration, and payroll processing.Strong understanding of US / Canadian payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.Experience in end-to-end payroll processing and reconciliation.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools (e.g., Cognos, UKG BI).Preferred Qualifications :
UKG Ready certification(s).Experience with UKG integrations (e.g., with ERP, benefits, or time systems).Knowledge of HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, Oracle, or SAP is a plus.Consulting or client-facing experience in an implementation partner or services firm.Working Conditions :
