Role Description

The Assistant Chief Engineer (Assistant HoD) will support the Chief Engineer in overseeing the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety standards. Responsibilities include supervising routine and preventive maintenance, managing departmental staff, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and ensuring swift resolution of technical issues. The role is full-time, on-site, and based in Bengaluru, requiring active involvement in maintaining the property's high standards of functionality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Possess expertise in engineering systems such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities to manage teams, schedules, and project timelines effectively.
• Familiarity with safety protocols, compliance standards, and maintenance best practices for hospitality properties.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle technical issues under pressure.
• Proficiency in planning routine and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, vendors, and higher management.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or a related field.
• Experience in hotel / hospitality or luxury property management is an advantage.
