Compensation : ₹20,000 – ₹35,000 CTC (Monthly)

We are looking for an experienced Shopify Developer with deep knowledge of Liquid, metafields, metaobjects, performance optimization, and Shopify’s Online Store 2.0 features.

Position Summary

The Shopify Developer will be responsible for the development, customization, and optimization of Shopify storefronts. This role requires technical expertise across Shopify's theme architecture, data models, AJAX functionalities, and performance tuning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to building scalable, high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities 1. Shopify Theme Development

Develop, enhance, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Implement and manage metafields and metaobjects for structured and reusable data.
Build dynamic, modular components compatible with Online Store 2.0 .
Utilize Shopify’s Section Rendering API for dynamic content updates.

2. Performance Optimization

Improve page load speed by optimizing images, lazy-loading media, reducing scripts, and minimizing Liquid loops.

Enhance server-side rendering by optimizing metafield usage and template logic.

Use performance analysis tools to diagnose and resolve bottlenecks.

3. Cart, Checkout & AJAX Functionality

Implement and debug AJAX-based Add to Cart flows using / cart / add.js and related endpoints.

Manage cart drawer UI updates using JavaScript, JSON responses, and section re-rendering.

Add business logic or restrictions for checkout based on inventory or metafield conditions.

4. Pricing, Discounts & Merchandising

Work with Shopify discount models (manual, automatic, script / app-based).

Implement dynamic discount logic such as percentage-off badges using Liquid.

Manage promotional and compare-at pricing display conditions.

5. Admin Customization & Data Modeling

Configure and maintain metafields, metaobjects, and structured content models.

Apply safe Liquid handling practices to manage empty or missing data gracefully.

6. Debugging & Quality Assurance

Use Chrome DevTools, Shopify Theme Inspector, and network analysis to identify issues.

Monitor AJAX requests and ensure accurate theme rendering.

Maintain high-quality code using Git or other version control platforms.

Required Technical Skills

Advanced expertise in Shopify Liquid .

Strong command over HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6).

Hands-on experience with metafields, metaobjects, and dynamic content rendering.

Familiarity with Shopify AJAX API, Storefront API, and JSON responses.

Solid understanding of performance optimization strategies.

Skilled in debugging with browser tools and network monitoring.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

Experience with React, Vue, or similar JavaScript frameworks.

Knowledge of Shopify App development.

Familiarity with tools like Klaviyo, GA4, and Shopify Analytics.
