About the Role :
We are seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to lead and execute complex analyses of large-scale human genomics and multi-omics datasets. This individual will design and deliver integrative analyses across single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, and genetics data, helping translate high-dimensional biological data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative skills with biological intuition and enjoys collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the analysis and interpretation of large-scale single-cell, spatial, and bulk transcriptomic data sets across diverse disease areas.
- Design and execute integrative workflows combining genetics, transcriptomics, and epigenomic data to derive mechanistic insights.
- Perform curation, QC, and harmonization of large public or proprietary omics datasets
- Apply state-of-the-art methods for gene / variant prioritization and functional annotation using multi-omic evidence.
- Mentor junior scientists and provide subject-matter expertise on statistical / computational genomics approaches.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on pipeline design, reproducibility, and deployment on cloud infrastructures.
- Communicate findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
PhD (with 2+ yrs experience) or Master’s (with 4–6 yrs experience) in Bioinformatics, Statistical Genetics, Computational Biology or related field.Hands-on experience with analysis and integration of single-cell and / or spatial transcriptomics datasets.Proficiency in Python or R for high-dimensional data analysis. If proficient in R, there should be sufficient familiarity with python to be able to work with python tools / pipelines.Demonstrated ability to independently design and deliver bioinformatics analyses.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Good-to-have :
Some past experience with GWAS analysis and toolsExperience developing or extending bioinformatics workflows (Nextflow, Snakemake, CWL).Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS) and containerized environments.
