About Jayam Web Solutions

We are a 19-year experienced IT company based in Chennai, specializing in Website Development, Web Applications, Custom Software, and Digital Marketing with 1750+ completed projects.

We are now looking for a Software Tester (Manual) to work closely with our designers and developers to ensure high-quality delivery.

Role Overview

As a Software Tester at Jayam Web Solutions, your main responsibility is to test websites, web applications, and software modules developed by our team.

You will identify issues, suggest corrections, coordinate with designers & developers, and ensure the final output is smooth, error-free, and user-friendly.

This role is suitable for :

Freshers with basic testing knowledge
Candidates who have completed testing training
Candidates returning to work after a break
Anyone with good attention to detail and willingness to learn

Key Responsibilities

Test websites and web applications developed by our team

Check design issues, functionality issues, mobile responsiveness, UI / UX issues

Identify and report bugs / defects clearly with screenshots

Coordinate with designers & developers and follow up on fixes

Verify fixed issues and ensure there are no new issues

Test on different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)

Test on different devices (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile)

Ensure pages load fast and user experience is smooth

Maintain simple testing documents (status, findings, corrections list)

Assist in final review before client demo or delivery

Required Skills / Qualifications

0 to 3 years experience (internship or training also acceptable)

Basic knowledge of :

Manual testing

Checking UI / UX

Mobile responsive testing

SDLC & STLC fundamentals

Good communication skills

Good observation skills

Ability to identify mistakes clearly

Basic computer knowledge

Strong willingness to learn

Optional Skills (Not Mandatory but a Plus)

Knowledge of any defect tracking tool (Jira, Trello, etc.)

API testing (Postman) – basic understanding

Basic automation exposure (Selenium)

Basic HTML / CSS understanding

Experience testing eCommerce, CRM, or web portals
