Roofsol Homes, a venture of Roofsol Energy, brings top-notch engineering and vast experience from commercial solar to residential projects. Established in 2016, Roofsol Energy has commissioned over 400 MWp. As of now, Roofsol Homes serves the states of Maharashtra, Assam, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Tripura with plans to expand to more locations in the near future.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a State Manager - Assam and Tripura (Residential Solar Projects) located in Guwahati. The candidate should be fluent in Assamese, English and Hindi. The State Manager will be responsible for overseeing residential solar projects, managing day-to-day operations, supervising on-site teams, budgeting, and ensuring project timelines are met. They will also handle communication with stakeholders, train new team members, and manage people effectively to ensure project success. The residential solar projects are covered mostly under Prime Minister Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
Key Responsibilities :
1. Business & Sales Management
- Develop and execute the state-level business plan for residential rooftop solar.
- Drive sales targets through dealer / distributor network, channel partners, and direct sales teams.
- Identify new business opportunities, government tenders, and subsidy-linked projects.
- Monitor key sales metrics, conversion ratios, and profitability at the state level.
2. Project Execution & Operations
Oversee the complete lifecycle of residential solar projects — from site survey to commissioning.Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and timeline commitments.Coordinate with design, procurement, logistics, and service teams for smooth delivery.Implement standard project management tools for tracking progress and reporting.3. Team Leadership
Build, train, and lead a team of sales, technical, and service professionals in Assam.Set KPIs, review performance, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.Manage contractors, installation partners, and service vendors.4. Regulatory & Compliance
Liaise with DISCOMs, state renewable energy departments, and local authorities for project approvals and subsidy claims.Ensure all installations comply with MNRE, state solar policy, and electrical safety norms.5. Customer Experience
Drive customer satisfaction and manage post-installation service response.Monitor NPS (Net Promoter Score) and address escalations promptly.Ensure transparency and ethical sales practices across all customer touchpoints.6. Financial & Reporting
Prepare monthly business reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards.Manage P&L for the state, ensuring cost efficiency and margin control.Handle vendor payments, collections, and receivables.Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in EngineeringMBA preferred (Marketing / Operations) but not mandatory.10-14 years of experience in solar energy, power, or allied infrastructure / industrial services sectorMinimum 3 years in a leadership or regional managerial role.Proven track record of managing sales + execution in a fast-growing environment.Key Skills :
