OCI Database Administrator

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) Database Administrator (DBA) with Fusion experience to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting Oracle databases deployed on OCI, with a strong focus on Oracle Fusion applications. This role requires expertise in OCI administration, database security, and performance tuning, combined with a deep understanding of Oracle Fusion architecture and components.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and administer Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Perform administrative activities such as creating and managing users, roles, and privileges to ensure secure and compliant database environments.
• Monitor database health, system alerts, and performance metrics proactively to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
• Execute database refreshes, backups, and recovery operations in line with business continuity plans.
• Analyze and troubleshoot database issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Understand and document existing OCI and Fusion system architecture, workflows, and integrations.
• Manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) within OCI, ensuring secure access and role-based permissions.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support Oracle Fusion applications, resolving database-related issues efficiently.
• Assist in migration, upgrades, and patching activities for OCI databases and Fusion environments.
• Maintain compliance with company security policies, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and best practice guides.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, specifically OCI Database services.
