Structural Designer - Tekla - Transmission & Distribution

This position is responsible for drafting & running clash checks on Civil Structural Projects. Candidate will perform work which involves both conventional engineering practices and complex situations, requiring innovative solutions relative to work practices and procedures.

duties & responsibilities :

• 2D drafting of foundations and steel, general arrangement drawings using tools like AutoCAD (MicroStation will be added advantage) to produce construction deliverables like Foundation plan, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.
• Steel plan, elevations, sections, and detail drawings
• Location layout and key plan
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ) / Material Take-offs (MTOs)
• Stairs, Ladders and Misc. items (will be added advantage)
• Coordinate with other disciplines and develop a clash-free 3D model / drawing (added advantage).
• Responsible to manage the assigned scope within the agreed schedule, and budget and complying with agreed project quality norms.
• Assist Engineers in preparing, coordinating, and reviewing deliverables for the discipline.
• A committed team player able to work on their own initiative.
• Effective communication both verbal as well as writing and collaboration with USA Counterpart.
• Other duties as assigned.
