Summary :

The Safety Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and compliance of operations within the Hemms Excavators, Earthmoving, Metals & Mining division at Mechanical Maintenance Company. Reporting from the Bokara, Jharkhand location, this position is essential for maintaining a safe work environment across high-risk activities such as Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) operations, earthmoving, and slag management. The ideal candidate will lead safety initiatives, enforce regulatory standards, and foster a proactive safety culture that aligns with company goals and industry best practices. This role requires a strategic mindset, hands-on experience in industrial safety, and a commitment to continuous improvement in operational safety performance.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures across all operational units.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Lead incident investigation and root cause analysis, ensuring timely corrective actions are taken.
  • Provide training and guidance to field teams on safety protocols, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to integrate safety into daily operations and project planning.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation for internal and regulatory review.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

Requirements :

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in industrial safety, preferably in mining, metals, or earthmoving environments.
  • Diploma in Safety or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations, including OSHA, local labor laws, and industry-specific standards.
  • Proven ability to lead safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and manage incident response.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using safety management tools and reporting systems.
