Role
The Science Teacher will nurture curiosity and a love for learning among boys in Grades 3–5. The role focuses on building a strong foundation in basic scientific concepts through engaging lessons, hands-on experiments, and everyday examples. In a residential setting, the teacher also plays a vital role in guiding students beyond academics, encouraging discipline, teamwork, and respect for the natural world.
Key Responsibilities
Teach CBSE science syllabus for Grades 3–6 in a clear, age-appropriate manner.
Use simple experiments, demonstrations, and real-life examples to make science relatable.
Encourage inquiry and curiosity through interactive lessons.
Use project-based and activity-based learning to make science fun.
Integrate technology, visuals, and storytelling to enhance understanding.
Maintain science materials and ensure safe use of equipment.
Follow safety rules during experiments and activities.
Regularly assess students through classwork, projects, and tests.
Provide constructive feedback and support individual learning needs.
Keep records of student performance and growth.
Work with other teachers to connect science with math, language, and social studies.
Organize and encourage participation in science fairs, clubs, and competitions.
Act as a mentor and role model.
Support students in developing discipline, teamwork, and respect for peers and staff.
Stay updated with best practices in science teaching.
Participate in workshops and training sessions to improve teaching skills.
