Design Engineer I

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary : Regal Rexnord is looking for a dynamic person with 2+ years of experience in the area of Industrial power transmission. Ideal candidate will have experience across industrial gearboxes, Couplings & Mechanical Components etc.. This role will be more focused on VAVE activities related to Industrial Gearing.

Major Responsibilities : This position will include the following activities :

• Create Mechanical drawings & Assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Provide support to VAVE projects.
• Understand the Gearing business and look for opportunities to simplify designs at assembly, component and raw material level. Find out various VAVE opportunities.
• Design new components & modify existing components per VAVE project requirement.
• Perform various engineering calculations.
• Provide support in creating DFMEA and DFM&A assessments as needed.
• Provide support to prepare Testing Plan for any material testing (inside / outside). Co-ordinate all activities related to testing per test plan including vendor interaction.
• Provide CAD inputs for FEA validations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute project deliverables.
• Support in creating VAVE documents (CFI).
• Support ECN / ECRs for new revisions implementation.
• Provide daily update to supervisor / BU. Participate in project update meeting with BU weekly.
• Follow Regal Rexnord Ethics and Safety Programs.
• Perform other assignments per business needs.
