Google Cloud Expert

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expert to design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GCP tools, cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps practices. You will work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance of our cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-optimized GCP cloud architectures.
• Evaluate and recommend GCP services (e.g., BigQuery, Pub / Sub, GKE, Cloud SQL, Vertex AI) for business use cases.
• Build CI / CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
• Cloud Operations
• Manage and optimize GCP infrastructure including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Networking.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and third-party tools.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data backup strategies.
• Security & Compliance
• Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, VPC Service Controls, and encryption standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulations (SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) by leveraging GCP’s security features.
• Conduct security reviews and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Collaboration
• Work with developers, data engineers, and AI / ML teams to build and scale applications on GCP.
• Partner with finance teams for cloud cost optimization and budgeting.
• Mentor junior engineers on GCP best practices.
