Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant with over 10 years of experience to join our client . The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Taxation , GST , and Labour Laws . This role will involve managing and overseeing all accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and effective handling of labour law-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Manage end-of-month and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns , TDS, and other tax-related documentation.
  • Handle tax planning and compliance, ensuring adherence to Income Tax and GST regulations .
  • Review and optimize the company's tax structure to ensure maximum tax efficiency.
  • Stay updated with changes in taxation laws and GST regulations, implementing necessary changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all Labour Laws , including Provident Fund (PF), Employees’ State Insurance (ESI), and Gratuity.
  • Handle salary and payroll processing in compliance with labour laws.
  • Keep abreast of changes in Labour Law and advise on any necessary adjustments in policies or procedures.
  • Manage employee benefits, statutory deductions, and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary supporting documents.
  • Ensure the organization’s accounting practices are in line with statutory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field..

Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a senior role .

Expertise in Taxation : Strong knowledge of Income Tax , GST , and taxation laws and regulations.

Labour Law Knowledge : In-depth understanding of Labour Laws including PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, and compliance.

Accounting Skills : Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

Leadership Skills : Ability to manage and guide accounting teams effectively.

Attention to Detail : Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.

Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with internal stakeholders and authorities.
