- Manage overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement of – Chemicals, Process oil & Consumables
- Implement procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money
- Analyze market and delivery trends so as to modify procurement strategy for the category from time to time, in line with the evolving trends
- Establish, implement, and follow the processes & procedures for delivering commercial and cost effective procuring process as per the policy and guidelines of the Organizations for the category
- Identify opportunities for improvement so as to add value for the category procurement process to continually drive performance and business results
- Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to add value
- Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, negotiation and finalization of contracts / Purchase orders
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain best price and service
- Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals
- Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost down and improvement opportunities
- Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls and processes.
- Collaborate with planning Teams , Quality Team , to qualify sources , RM codes , trial production and support on time qualifications of parts and sources
- Accountable & Responsible for Business Continuity, Vendor Plant audits as applicable to support the growth of the Plants / Business.

Raw Material procurement of Chemicals, Process oil & Consumable category for 15 plants from more than 100+ vendors and 80+ RM Codes.Procurement of raw materials, consistent with the Category Strategy and guidance.Work closely with Planning team to ensure Business Continuity efforts associated with RM supply outages collaborating with Global Category Teams & Quality / Technology and Plant teamsDrive Continuous improvements - drive lean processes and coordinates with and support R&D / Plant technicalBesides the operational role , lead continuous improvement efforts in the area of Strategic sourcing & Cost savingActively participate in the Digitization Projects & implementation of smart tools.Actively contribute in the transition of Organization Construct - associated with RM Centralization with robust governance & Change Management Program in Place.SECTION IV. Educational Background
Mandatory :
Bachelor's degree in business, Business Mgmt, Economics, Engineering, or related field.

Work Experience
At least 2 to 4 years' experience in Procurement in a multinational company, preferably in the FMCG or Automotive industry.Exposure to lean methodologies, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvements, and Operations Planning.Ability to define , develop, and manage highly complex processes and to drive efficiency improvementsEffective interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with people in variety functions within the organizations as well as with higher Mgmt team.Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to articulate complex issuesExperienced in working in a matrix organization of businesses , understanding of business issues, metrics and customer valueDemonstrated implementation or experience of any cost to serve modelWorked in any ERP platform for Material managementExperience in handling both local & international vendorsUnderstanding of S&OP process is an added advantageOther Skills
