About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer with deep expertise in data warehousing, cloud platforms, and modern data engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Snowflake implementations, migrations, and advanced Snowflake features, along with strong SQL and Python skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and contribute to Snowflake implementations, including migration from traditional DWH systems or fresh deployments.
- Design and optimize complex SQL and SnowSQL queries, ensuring performance and scalability.
- Apply data modelling principles and techniques to develop efficient data structures.
- Implement Snowflake-specific features such as Data Masking, Tagging, SnowPipe, RBAC controls, Virtual Warehouse sizing, Zero Copy Clone, Data Sharing, Streams & Tasks, Time Travel, Secure Data Sharing, DMF, Iceberg Tables, Dynamic Tables, Micro Partitioning, and Query Profiling.
- Develop and execute cloud strategies and adopt best practices for AWS or Azure environments.
- Manage Snowflake Virtual Warehouses, monitor performance, and work with Table Structures, Views, and Materialized Views.
- Handle ETL / ELT integrations, data ingestion, data conversion, and data migration activities.
- Leverage Python and PySpark for data processing and automation tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile practices, Jira, and Confluence.
Required Skills & Experience :
6- 10 years of total experience, with at least 2 Snowflake implementation projects (migration or greenfield).Expert-level knowledge of SQL, SnowSQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.Strong understanding of data modelling and data warehousing principles.Solid hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.Proficiency in Snowflake advanced concepts and best practices.Strong Python and PySpark development skills.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related tools.Good to Have :
