Job descriptionProvide all tier operational support of storage environments, maintaining ownership and a deep technical knowledge Able to troubleshoot complex storage problems and provide cost effective, operationally supportable solutions that meet complex customer requirements and SLAs. Storage allocation and de-allocation and expansion Good understanding of storage and SAN switches Must have detailed knowledge of RAID, SCSI, SAN, and NAS. Experience with iSCSI is a plus. Ability to adopt new storage and backup activities and capacity planning
Key Responsibilities -
- Primary knowledge of the VEEAM Backup tool is mandatory, while familiarity with Commvault, PPDM, Azure, Avamar, Networker, Arcserve, and Rubrik is considered secondary.
- Knowledge on various backup technologies such are File / Server Backup, Exchange archival, BareMetal Backup, Cloud backup, Database Backup, Virtual Host Backup, and system restores.
- Resolution of backup / recovery service disruptions and implementation of preventative measures.
- Identify & perform backup environment system tuning.
- Schedule management, Ad hoc backup request execution.
- Monitor all backups timely and able troubleshooting issue.
- Perform routine disaster recovery scenarios.
- Troubleshoot Replication errors.
- Maintain backup policies and standards.
- Maintain all equipment for backup environment to include servers, disk, and tape storage devices.
- Performs continuous research and audits to ensure continuous and high levels of performance, security and availability of network and operating systems and peripheral devices.
