About the Role

Elucidata is looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer II- GenAI to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering software systems that solve complex problems, writing clean and efficient code with strong test coverage, and improving existing systems. You will work with product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, participate in design discussions, and review code. This role offers an opportunity to work on generative AI, cloud infrastructure, and web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build impactful solutions

What You'll Own

● Design, develop, and deliver software systems to solve complex problems.

● Write clean, reusable, and efficient code with strong test coverage.

● Maintain and improve existing systems.

● Translate product requirements into technical solutions.

● Participate in design discussions and code reviews.

What Makes You a Great Fit

● 3+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on Generative AI, including work with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, or open-source models), prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or API integration.

● Good understanding of AI application architecture, from model selection and orchestration (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar) to retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.

● Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and computational efficiency, with the ability to apply these in AI system design.

● Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript preferred)

● Experience building full-stack AI applications

● Familiarity with vector databases

● Cloud experience (AWS or equivalent).

● Hands-on with Docker and Git.

● Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

● Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog).

● Experience with CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).

● Exposure to ETL, Data Lake, and data warehousing pipelines.
