Key Responsibilities :
1. Central Distribution Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the central distribution center (CDC) or hub.
- Plan and execute dispatches to regional warehouses, retail outlets, or customer locations.
- Ensure accuracy in order picking, packing, and shipment.
2. Inventory Control & Logistics
Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.Coordinate with procurement, planning, and store teams for accurate demand forecasting.Optimize inventory turnover and storage space utilization.3. Team & Vendor Coordination
Lead and supervise warehouse teams, shift managers, and logistics staff.Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers for transportation and last-mile delivery.Manage vendor SLAs, ensure compliance with safety and delivery standards.4. Technology & Systems Oversight
Ensure proper use of Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP, or Distribution Management Systems (DMS).Track orders, dispatches, and returns through automated tools and dashboards.Drive digital transformation initiatives in distribution processes.5. Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to safety, statutory, and quality standards across warehouse operations.Prepare daily / weekly MIS reports on inventory movement, shrinkage, fulfillment rates, and delivery KPIs.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction programs.Skills Required
