About the Role
The CMO will serve as a strategic leader, overseeing all sales, marketing, and communication initiatives to drive revenue growth, market share, and brand reputation for our electrical products and solutions. Reporting to the President, the CMO will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales, marketing and business development strategy tailored to the unique needs of the B2B electrical manufacturing sector. This leadership role will focus on building strategic partnerships with Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Government Departments in sectors such as power, electricity, and railways
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales, marketing & business development strategies aligned with company goals.
- Drive brand positioning and differentiation to establish and enhance brand equity within the electrical industry.
- Build, nurture, and manage relationships with PSUs and government agencies.
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with sales, engineering, and product development teams to ensure a unified customer experience.
- Manage the annual marketing budget, allocating resources efficiently across initiatives.
- Identify and track upcoming tenders, projects, and market opportunities in relevant sectors.
- Lead the complete tendering & bidding process, including pre-qualification, techno-commercial proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Drive key account management to ensure repeat business and long-term client partnerships.
- Collaborate with production, design, and project teams to ensure client-focused solutions.
- Represent the company at industry forums, exhibitions, and government interactions.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and policy developments in the steel & engineering sector.
- Mentor and develop a strong marketing & sales team.
- Achieve annual revenue, profitability, and market share growth targets.
Key Skills and Competencies
Extensive experience within the electrical, manufacturing, or a related industrial sector.Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drove business growth and increased market share.Deep understanding of the electrical industry's market dynamics, customer segments, and buying cycles.Proficiency in modern marketing technologies (MarTech), including marketing automation, CRM, and web analytics tools.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and influence stakeholders.Qualifications & Experience
Education – BE / ME in EEE / ECEArea of Expertise – B2G, B2BHave worked in the industry sector, including the Energy manufacturing sectors. Smart meters, EV, VFD, Panels.Preferred Industry : Power, Electrical, and Renewable Energy Industries.Experience as Chief Marketing Officer or Chief Commercial Officer or Chief Business Development Officer, or related in a reputed organization for at least 05 to 10 Years. Should have served as a PAN India Sales Head for a minimum of 5 years with P&L responsibility.What We Offer
