Responsibilities :
- Undertake Feasibility Studies and Prepare Design Basis Report
- Develop designs for HVAC Piping and Plumbing systems. Knowledge with the design of Drainage and Fire Protection Systems will be an asset.
- Prepare mechanical construction drawings and specifications in collaboration with other discipline (architects and engineers) design teams internal and external to MH.
- Provide oversight and primary design expertise for 'Buildings' related mechanical engineering assignments and the mechanical teams associated deliverables.
- Provide technical leadership to the mechanical design team consisting of Junior / Intermediate Engineers, Intern Engineers, and Designers / support staff.
- Review Vendor Submittals / Shop Drawings for compliance with Engineering Design and Tender Documents.
- Support the MCF Team Lead / Staff Manager in managing the workload and utilization of the mechanical team and in ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Mechanical EngineeringKnowledge of ASHARE StandardsMinimum 7 years of experience with design of Mechanical HVAC and Piping Systems, within the consulting engineering industry, of which at least 3 years cover projects within for the institutional, healthcare, mission critical (data center) and similar sectors.Proficient in the use of Revit / BIM360, with ability to effectively communicate design intent to production staff.Ability to read and write specifications.Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to work exceptionally well and efficiently in a team environment.Demonstrated ability to guide and oversee the work of junior engineers and CAD Staff.Skills Required
