System Engineer (VMware Specialist)

Working Days :  Monday to Saturday (General Shift)

We are seeking a skilled  System Engineer  with strong hands-on experience in  VMware troubleshooting and management . The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of server hardware, storage systems, and backup solutions. The role requires an individual who can support day-to-day IT infrastructure operations and ensure stable and efficient system performance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform  administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of VMware environments  (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
• Manage and monitor virtual machines, clusters, resource pools, snapshots, and VMware tools.
• Handle  server-related activities , including OS installation, basic hardware diagnostics, and performance tuning.
• Assist with  storage systems  such as SAN / NAS—basic configuration, mapping, and issue resolution.
• Support  backup solutions —daily job monitoring, troubleshooting failures, and coordinating restores.
• Perform system health checks, generate status reports, and ensure system uptime.
• Work closely with internal teams to resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies.
• Work on infrastructure tasks and upgrades as required.

3–4 years of experience in system engineering or IT infrastructure support. Strong hands-on experience in VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter). Basic knowledge of : Server hardware (Dell / HP / IBM preferred) Storage solutions (SAN / NAS concepts) Backup tools (Commvault / Veeam / NetBackup or similar) Familiarity with Windows / Linux OS fundamentals. Good understanding of networking basics (TCP / IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Good communication skills and ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications : Experience working in NBFC or BFSI environments. Exposure to ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management). Certifications such as VCP, MCSA, RHCSA, or storage / backup certifications (optional but desirable).
