We are seeking an experienced and certified ServiceNow Developer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, customization, and platform configuration, along with proven expertise in integrating ServiceNow with third-party systems. This role requires a deep understanding of ITIL processes, ServiceNow best practices, and the ability to deliver scalable, efficient, and secure solutions.
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing technical solutions, developing custom applications, and maintaining the overall health of the ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow applications, modules, and customizations to meet business needs.
- Work on ServiceNow platform configuration, including workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and ACLs.
- Develop custom scripts using JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, and CSS to extend platform capabilities.
- Manage and implement ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, and MID Server, ensuring secure and seamless connectivity with third-party systems.
- Utilize update sets and version control for effective code management and deployment across environments.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions and provide best practice recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes, industry standards, and organizational policies.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes to maintain system stability.
- Document technical solutions, configurations, and processes for knowledge sharing.
- Stay up to date with ServiceNow releases, new features, and industry trends to enhance
platform usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
ServiceNow Certification is mandatory (CSA, CIS, or equivalent).Strong experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting.Hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, customization, and platform configuration.Proven experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, and MID Server.Solid understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.Experience with ServiceNow update sets, version control, and application deployment.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication Skills :Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, or CSM.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.Exposure to ServiceNow Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Performance Analytics.Advanced ServiceNow certifications (CIS, CAD, CTA) are a plus.(ref : hirist.tech)
