Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator . This position will be full-time and Onsite Gurugram.
What You’ll Do
- Design data models based on requirements / SRS / HLD / LLDs using tools like ERWIN etc.
- Ability to create ERDs.
- Clarity w.r.t Conceptual, Logical & Physical data models.
- Provision Postgres / MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
- Managing and Administering Cloud based relational Database solutions.
- Have strong experience on configuring and troubleshooting of primary / replica configurations in clustered and non-clustered environment.
- Data migration from on-premises databases to Cloud based database platforms.
- Be a contributor to the database Projects team.
- Design & Implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Solutions for database systems.
- Production Support model on call basis for critical incident handling and emergency support (24X7).
- Strong experience in database administration and production support tasks including Replication, SQL Optimization & Tuning, Monitoring, Backup / Recovery, Troubleshooting and Database Security on large Database environments.
- Exposure to AWS technology Stacks with experience in provisioning
- Experience in Performance Tuning and troubleshooting complex database issues.
- Process Improvement : Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and governance frameworks. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Risk Management : Identify potential risks and issues, implementing proactive measures to mitigate these within the scope.
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in IT, or Equivalent.At least 10-15 years of experience as Database Designer / AdministratorData modelling using tools like ERWINPostgres Database Administration on cloud preferably AWS AuroraDesired Skills :MySQL Database Administration o Oracle Database Administration oExposure to SQL & PL / SQL, shell scripting etc.Key CompetenciesCollaboration : Strong interpersonal skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional IT teams.Organization : Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders.Problem Solving- Communication- Collaboration- Continuous learning.Physical Demands
