Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Checker, located in Chennai. The Checker will be responsible for reviewing detailed steel drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications, AISC, NISD, OSHA & IBC standards & procedures. Day-to-day tasks include verifying 3D model using TEKLA and dimensions, checking for design and drafting errors, coordinating with the detailing team, and providing feedback to drafters to improve the quality of the final product.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reviewing using TEKLA and understanding steel detailing drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verification processes
• Ability to identify and rectify design and drafting errors
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with the detailing team
• Familiarity with TEKLA & BLUEBEAM and tools used in steel detailing
• 5 yeasrs minimum experience in the American construction industry is must.
• Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Relevant certification or diploma in Engineering or a related field
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
