Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Analyst to join our growing Real Estate Capital Markets team. The Analyst will play a crucial role in business and market research, deal analysis, financial modelling, preparing strategic and market presentations, and provide any management support to help drive strategic decision-making related to growing our real estate investment banking business. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, a solid understanding of business modelling principles, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
Responsibilities :
- Financial Modeling & Analysis :
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for real estate acquisitions, developments, and dispositions, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, internal rate of return (IRR), and net present value (NPV) calculations.
- Analyze potential real estate investments, including market research, due diligence, and financial feasibility studies.
- Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to assess investment risks and opportunities.
- Evaluate property performance, including occupancy rates, rental income, and operating expenses.
- Investment Analysis & Underwriting :
- Underwrite new real estate investment opportunities, including analyzing property financials, market data, and lease agreements.
- Prepare investment memorandums (IMs) and present findings to investment committees.
- Monitor and track the performance of existing real estate assets.
- Assist in the preparation of loan applications and manage relationships with lenders.
- Market Research & Data Analysis :
- Conduct market research to identify investment opportunities and assess market trends.
- Analyze market data, including comparable sales, rental rates, and vacancy rates.
- Stay current on industry trends and real estate market conditions.
- Collaboration & Communication :
- Collaborate with other teams for obtaining market information.
- Present market research and financial information to management and investors.
- Communicate financial results and insights clearly and concisely.
- Other Responsibilities :
- Assist with transaction execution and due diligence processes.
- Support ad-hoc business and financial analysis requests as needed.
- Stay current on real estate finance principles and regulations.
Qualifications :
CA / CFA / Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or a related field.1-2 years of experience in real estate financial analysis or a related role.Strong understanding of finance principles, including DCF analysis, IRR, NPV, and property valuation.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills required, including experience with financial modeling).
