Job Description

  • We are seeking a motivated Network Security Engineer – Level 1 with 3–6 years of broadband support experience to join our team.
  • This role is ideal for candidates who have provided technical support to international customers (UK-based) and are eager to build a career in network security.
  • Will handle first-line troubleshooting, security monitoring, and broadband-related support while working with industry-standard tools and processes.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide first-line broadband and network support to UK-based residential and business customers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DSL, DHCP, DNS, and One Access routers.
  • Perform first-level incident analysis and escalate to L2 / L3 engineers when required.
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, and other security appliances.
  • Respond to broadband-related service requests, network outages, and security alerts.
  • Conduct basic network diagnostics and remote troubleshooting for customer premises equipment (CPE).
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all support activities, configurations, and incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated cases and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on broadband technologies, cybersecurity best practices, and emerging threats.
  • Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Networking, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 - 6 years of broadband support experience (preferably UK-based customer support).
  • Prior experience handling international customers in a telecom or broadband environment.
  • Skills & Competencies :

  • Strong knowledge of DSL, DHCP, DNS, One Access routers, and broadband technologies.
  • Understanding of TCP / IP, network routing, VPNs, and firewall concepts.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools like Wireshark, Splunk, Nessus, or similar.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for handling UK customers.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts and on-call schedules as required.
