Job Title : SAP Basis : Chennai

Job Description :

Core Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage SAP systems administration
  • Troubleshoot SAP issues and provide architectural guidance
  • Develop and refine best practices for Basis Administration
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives

Technical Expertise :

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure and networking
  • Perform installations, upgrades, system copies, data refreshes, DR, and archiving

    • Experience with :

  • ECC, R / 3, HCM, CRM, EDI, HANA, BW, BOBJ, SCM, SRM
  • SAP NetWeaver and SAP Solution Manager
  • Install and upgrade SAP systems in UNIX / LINUX / AIX environments
  • Exposure to OpenText Enterprise Information Management and DB Administration

    • Strategic Capabilities :

  • Derive SAP roadmap for IT landscape
  • Provide technical inputs for IT Transformation and Digital Enablement
  • Envision future-state architecture leveraging cloud technologies for scalability

    • Communication & Leadership :

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Coordinate with DB administration and UNIX teams
  • Hands-on root cause analysis and problem-solving
  • Lead team to resolve business-critical issues

    • Operational Duties :

  • Manage transports and change control
  • Collaborate with Basis Infrastructure and application teams (ECC, BI, APO, EDI, CRM, HCM)
  • Provide Basis support for planning, execution, and delivery of SAP applications

    • Project & Change Management :

  • Knowledge of project and change management best practices and tools
  • Leadership skills with strong customer focus and results orientation

    • Additional (Not Mandatory) :

  • Lead large Basis projects involving multiple resources
  • Handle technical planning, resource scheduling, execution, and communication
  • Ensure uninterrupted system operation and SLA compliance
  • Proactively monitor and tune SAP system performance
