About the Role

The OT Nursing Manager is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, and management of all activities in the Operation Theatres. The role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical nursing care in compliance with clinical standards, hospital protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Operation Theatre Nursing – Sr. Manager / Manager

Qualification :

B.Sc. Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing preferred)
Must be registered with the Nursing Council

Experience :

Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in Operation Theatre Nursing

Must have managed at least 10 OTs in a hospital setting

Prior experience in leadership / managerial role is mandatory

Key Responsibilities :

Lead, supervise, and manage the Operation Theatre Nursing Team across all surgical specialties.

Ensure smooth functioning of at least 10 Operation Theatres , including staffing, scheduling, and quality care delivery.

Oversee pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing practices, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and patient safety standards.

Coordinate with surgeons, anesthetists, and allied staff to facilitate seamless surgical operations.

Implement and monitor infection control practices, sterilization protocols, and OT safety guidelines.

Conduct regular audits, quality checks, and training sessions to maintain high standards of nursing care.

Manage manpower planning, recruitment, induction, and skill enhancement of OT nursing staff.

Ensure adherence to NABH / JCI accreditation standards within the OT complex.

Handle administrative duties, including duty rosters, performance appraisals, budgeting, and consumable management.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency, patient satisfaction, and staff engagement.

Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities

Decision-making and crisis management skills

Ability to train and mentor nursing staff
